From his desert studio workshop in Twentynine Palms, California, fine artist Noble Richardson designs and creates unique, one-of-a-kind cactus lamps.

Lamps by Noble Richardson

During his travels through Arizona, California and Mexico, Noble Richardson gathers beautiful pieces of sun-dried cacti trunks for his lamps, varying from Cholla and Saguaro cactus, to Joshua Tree and Boojum (cirio) wood. You have to touch to believe the smooth the surface of the cacti material.

Ranging in size and style, you will find lamps suitable for desk, table or floor use in Noble’s collection available now at the 29 Palms Inn. The designs will surely make a statement in any environment!

Most lamps feature copper shades with patina finishes in exciting color blends of blues, greens, rust tones and natural tarnish. Selected shades are available in rawhide and parchment -- hand painted with desert landscapes. Lamp bases are often laminated with an overlay of painted copper to complement the distinctive colors of the copper shades. Prices range from $300 to $600 for desk and table sizes, and $600 to $1200 for floor models.

Also available for sale at the 29 Palms Inn is a great collection of paintings by Noble, each finished in a hand-made, wood frame. Drop by the front office between the hours of 8am – 8pm any day of the week to see the collection.

Other works of art by Noble Richardson, a southwestern painter for over 25 years, appear in the corporate collections of the Hyatt Regency Corporation, Arizona Bank and the Hilton Hotel Corporation, as well as in numerous private collections around the world.
