To help celebrate the one-year anniversary of the new Mojave Monuments in the California Desert, the 29 Palms Inn has launched new menu items inspired by, and named after, some of our favorite places.

Here at the Inn we are passionate about our beautiful California Desert! In February 2016 three new National Monuments were introduced, Sand to Snow, Mojave Trails and Castle Mountains - which combined offer us 1.8 million acres of stunning and diverse wilderness. We are excited to have teamed up with our friends at the Mojave Desert Land Trust to help celebrate the one-year anniversay of the Sand to Snow, Mojave Trails and Castle Mountains National Monuments, and do our part to help inspire all you desert lovers to get there and explore these beautiful lands.

When it comes to preparing for any road trip out into the desert you often think about making sure you’ve got a full tank of gas, a good map, lots of water – but let’s not forget how important it is to make sure you’re not leaving on an empty stomach. So, with that, we introduce the new Castle Mountain Burger!

Castle Mountain Burger

Castle Mountain Burger  |  6 oz. Grass fed Certified Angus beef, smoked cheddar cheese, black forest ham, Applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, topped with a Faultline Farm egg.

As you can see, it is truly a mountain of a burger, so it felt appropriate to name it after the Castle Mountains National Monument, which is a beautiful area that sits beside the Mojave National Preserve on the north/east side at the California Nevada border. It’s about a two-hour drive to get out there when you start here in 29 Palms, but we guarantee if you finish this burger you will not go hungry on your drive out there!
